Help covering medical bills.

Hi.

My name is Christian and I am asking for help covering medical bills and expenses.

I have always had a hard time asking for help and I am only asking because I really don’t know else to do.

At the end of last December I got Covid and then viral pneumonia. It took me about a month to recover enough to return to work but after a couple weeks of decent health my symptoms returned. I kept keeping sicker and sicker, moving to part time while missing weeks at a time as I went in and out of excruciating flares.

In and out of the hospitals, emergency clinics and doctors offices.

They call it long Covid, post Covid…whatever.

It effects my central nervous system and my lungs but mainly my brain and nerves. I will have a few good days where I shake a little and have trouble with short term memory, but on my bad days I can’t walk, I shake and twitch as if in a seizure, remember nothing and am in so much pain. It feels like electric waves burning under my skin. It leaves me basically bedridden, barely able to interact with my wife and kids.

Ultimately despite being at my job for 16 years I was let go. No hard feelings, I have been truly too ill to do my job, but it was a blow.

Anyway, I was denied unemployment benefits (because it is a medical issue you can’t receive unemployment.) Waiting to see if I qualify for disability, which takes between 3-6 months. My doctors so far do not know what to do, I can’t work. So, yeah. It’s been a hard year and if you are willing to give, if able, my family and I would truly appreciate any help to cover accrued medical cost and expenses.
