Rocky Moore Heart Fund

Rocky Moore is a native to Florence, South Carolina. He is a devoted husband and father to Emmy and Caroline Moore. On October 30, 2005, Rocky had a heart attack that damaged beyond repair 60 percent of his heart muscle. Until May 2013, doctors were able to treat his cardiomyopathy and damaged heart muscle with medication, several defibrillators, and a pace maker. On May 30, 2013 he was admitted to McLeod and then sent to the Medical University of South Carolina. His defibrillator began shocking him and he was experiencing ventricular tachycardia due to the weakened heart muscle and heart failure that doctors were not able to treat with medication. After spending 10 days on a ventilator, on June 13, 2013 doctors decided to implant a Left Ventricular Assist Device(LVAD). This device would assist the heart until his body is strong enough and doctors feel it is safe to perform a heart transplant.We are currently raising money to help with Rocky's medical bills and a future transplant.
