On Tuesday, May 05, 2020 I received a phone call confirming something that I had been hoping for the past days to not be true. My aunt called and told me she had the results of my sister Jenny's covid19 test.

Jenny, my sister started feeling really sick at the end of April. She was feeling alot of fatigue, hard time breathing, chest pain and high temperatures. Her and I talked about going to get check for Covid-19 just see if she got it. I knew the answer to the results even before they came back, but I was so scared and did not want to accept it. My sister has always been a unhealthy person. She had diabetes, hypertension, and also she has problem with her lungs.  All her life we made a inside joke about how messed up her health was and if anyone would die first it would be her and her assignment was that she was gonna go to heaven to make room, clean and cook for us when we die, because she was for sure dying 1st and look, it happened just like that.

My sister had 4 children, and she always worked and got her children everything they needed within her possibilities and she was a full provider to her family. The father of the children left to Puerto Rico illegally and been there for many years, we know he got married to someone to fix his immigration status and has not return to Dom. Rep. Ever since he left.

I did everything that was in my hands to help my sister over come this new illness that she was facing. I promise you, I did. I did not want her to die, i did not want my sister to leave us forever and to leave my nephews alone like they are now. I am here for them, and i will provide them everything they need, but i cant be their mother and every child needs their Mother.

When I received the call, telling me that my sister passed away. My heart broke in millions of pieces. I felt like i failed and no matter what i did not save my sister this time.

Now, its time for me to keep going and provide not just for my family, my 3 children, but my 4 nephews. Due to this situation I was not able to go to False Pass this season. My Mother left to Dom. Rep. To take care of the 4 boys. So I was left with no one to keep my girls while I go away to work.

At first my mom did not tell me the living conditions of my sister and the kids, she said the priority at the time she arrived was for my sister to get better, but now that she is gone we need to start to make things happen. The people that know me, know that im the provider for my kids and also for my mother, and now my nephews. My sister was one of those that you asked what she needed and she always say " I'm good, we dont need anything, i have what i need", she never asked for anything, unless it was medicine.

Now that I need to start taking care of things, my mom told me how the apartment they are in is. When it rains they have to put buckets all over to catch the water that comes in from the roof, they only have power/electricity 4.5 hrs during the day. There is nothing close by and they have to walk really far to just get to the store to buy anything even one olive. Since this place is so alone a lot of  hang out around there, because its so lonely and far. Now that I know this I need to get them to a new apartment ASAP, I need to do so much that i don't know where to start. But I know God will help me and i want to thank you in advance for your help and your support. God bless you
