Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
My sister and her family up in Maine, have lost their house that they had recently bought and fixed up. New carpet was laid only two days before the fire and move in day was set. She was telling me, through tears that it feels like their one chance dream of owning their own place just disappeared in a snap right before her eyes. We are forever thankful to God that she and her three young boys made it out safely and that they had only moved in a small portion of their belongings. But there is still so much loss.
I realize that I have set the bar extremely high for this fundraiser, but I believe in a big God! There are so many expenses, starting with the removal of the old house. Any amount given adds up to something bigger, and if you know of other organizations or people that can help in any way, big or small, please pass this on to them. And since I believe in the power of prayer, those who do pray, can I ask for continued prayer for the coming weeks, not just for physical things, but also for my five family members who are grieving this loss and the mental and emotional toll it takes.
Here are my sister's three boys next to mine, the last time we were together.
