Dave Clark's Memorial

As you all may now know, a dear member of our family(s), David Lee Clark aka "Grumpy" has passed suddenly in his cabin in Crestline, California on Sunday, July 28, 2013.
A few have asked what the funds will go to. The purpose of this page is to:
1. Raise funds for Dave Clark's Memorial Service. Dave did not express his final wishes and we know that everyone he met became part of his family. We would like a memorial service large enough to accommodate his extended family, friends and neighbors, therefore, we are reaching out to all of you to help us make it special for Dave. We don't have any idea how many would be in attendance but we believe it will be a large group. I know I would like this to be as memorable as his retirement. Whoever was in charge of that, please contact me directly. We ask that all be patient on the date of this service as the family is still waiting for answers. It will be in the month of August.
2. Funds will go to pay for the upkeep of Dave's cats until they find permanent homes. This includes; food, cat litter, vet visits and anything else they may need to remain happy and healthy while in a temporary home. There are many kitties that need homes. The person caring for them will receive the items directly for their care, not cash, this way we know that your donations are used properly and Dave's "kids" are getting what they need. Vet visits will be paid for directly from the fund. If you would like to adopt and give one of Dave's cats a loving forever home, please contact Dawn Anderson at the top of the page. This was Dave's passion and we really want to see them get a good home in his honor.
3. Remaining funds will be distributed to the facility placing Dave's cats up for adoption into permanent homes as well as to the ASPCA in Dave's name. Dave was a longstanding member to this charity.
That being said, no money donated will be kept for family. ALL funds will be accounted for if anyone should have any questions regarding distribution. This is for David Clark only.
Dave gave his all to his family, his kids (his cats), friends, neighbors and community. When meeting Dave for the first time, it was like you knew him forever and he always made it a point to make you feel comfortable no matter what your age.
Dave donated his time and his life to serving others. Dave was an MP in the Army National Guard for 20 years and a dispatcher at the Riverside CHP for 38 years. Did you know Dave has donated blood 496 times during his donation years and 9 times between January and May of this year alone!? That's in excess of 60 gallons of life saving blood! He was an amazing man and it was an honor to have had him in our lives.
