Homer's Auburn Fund

This sweet face belongs to Homer Elwood Glaser. I became his human 2 years ago this past April and little did I know how quickly I'd fall in love with this boy. No one knows his history except that he was surrendered to a shelter and was rescued by the amazing Southern Belle Chihuahua Rescue of Alabama. He started having some tummy troubles pretty early but nothing seemed too concerning. Over time he developed a recurring problem of an extremely high fever and high white blood cell count. He has been poked, prodded and violated too many times to mention. He has been run through the gamut of tests which all come up negative, he has had an ultrasound which showed an issue of some sort in a segment of his intestine, and now he's spent so much time at the ER and at the vet's office that it wrecks all of our souls. His wonderful vet and my wonderful, knowledgeable friends in the field have decided it's time for a trip to Auburn for my sweet Homer. And that is where Homer and I need your help. I've done the best I can funding his frequent vet visits, tests, and overnight stays in the ER but Auburn will most likely be very, very expensive and I cannot manage that on my own.So, it seems I adopt the most amazing dogs in the world, they just happen come with some (expensive) health troubles. I will never forget the kindness that people gave Trixie and I pay it forward every time I can. I promise to keep paying it forward in memory of Trixie and in honor of the sweetest boy I've ever known. I love Homer and he is so young. He deserves a chance at a healthy life.
