My son Nic was in a snowboarding accident February 9, 2012. He became a quadriplegic that day, he was 16 years old. His neck broken and vertebrae shattered.
It was like those nightmares when you wake up crying and terrified, and thank God it was a dream. This was that nightmare that we started living every day.
We both know we are never alone...I would read over and over the book of Job, which gave me strength and my faith has never wavered. Did you see what that poor guy had to go through?
We where told Nic would never feel or move anything below his chest and his hands would never function again. We never believed them and chose not to see the MRI's that was their PROOF. We lived day by day, and tried hard to make that a habit. Looking at the future was a waste of time, we had no control of this.
We are so humbled that we are surrounded by such good. You just reading this means you care, and I hope you can see my superstar help others believe that anything is possible.
We believe in miracles...because one of them is my son Nic.
