In Loving Memory of Sarah ❤️

Hi, my name is Michelle Cole, and I am the older sister to Sarah Wyke, who this page is all about and who is in the picture above and taken before she became worse. My heart is breaking as l write this as well. My family and I have been in tears just talking and thinking about it; we can’t believe what’s happening and how fast it's happening.

My sister Sarah was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer called squamous cell bladder cancer just three months ago after complaining to the doctors for over six months before being diagnosed; all that time, she was in agonising excruciating pain, and the doctors kept putting it down to water infections even when my sister persisted and said it wasn’t anything like a water infection. Since being diagnosed three months ago, she’s been in and out of the hospital and told at the being she could have treatment; then, a few weeks ago, she had to have an emergency operation , which was touch and go; thankfully, she pulled through. We all thought she could start treatment soon, but her wound opened from the operation and wasn’t healing, she then got another infection.

The doctors weren’t telling her or us the truth for weeks and kept giving her false hope; eventually, after a meeting was arranged, she was told there is nothing more they could do and the cancer is too far gone and had spread and is also attacking her system, she requested not to know how long she had left and wanted to come home.

Sarah came home just over 1 week ago but is confined to a hospital bed, taking a lot of medication for the pain as well as a drive in place, first day home, she spoke, drank, and ate a little, but now nothing at all, but sleeping.

We have now been told to prepare for end of life which we are all struggling to believe and come to terms with as it’s such a Shock.

Sadly Sarah passed away last night, Tuesday 1st November 8.50pm. With her family by her side, R.I.P xxx

As this was so unexpected and quick, there are no funeral funds. Please help us to give Sarah the proper send-off she deserves. Any remaining monies will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, which is doing a fantastic job.

Sarah is loved and respected by so many. Please give what you can so the funeral costs will be covered, and we can provide Sarah with the best send-off she deserves.
