Help Sarah Rebuild Her Home

The Benford Family is one of the most tight knit, loving families I know, and if you know them, you will agree!  Many of the Roulhac's Preschool Families may remember Mr. Willie, a kind, bearded face in our hallways just a few years ago.  He always kept things in order around the preschool and Wesleyan Hills UMC... nice, neat, and well stocked!  He always had a kind word for everyone, a great ear for listening, and an overall calming presence for the children.  His daughter Sarah, worked as a teacher assistant for Roulhac's, and when Mr. Willie passed, she continued in his footsteps.  The entire Benford Family has huge hearts, loves others, and is as humble as you can get.  Now is the time for us to love them back!

On Tuesday, January 26, 2021, their home caught fire.  Sarah, her mother, and her 2 children were able to escape safely. 
They weren’t able to take a single thing with them as their home is extensively damaged from fire, smoke and water.  They do not have clothes, pajamas, shoes, toiletries, etc.  Not only have they lost material things, but all the saved memories of Mr. Willie. ❤️  They are currently staying in an Airbnb.


From talking to others who have experienced house fires, right now it is most helpful for the Benfords to be able to purchase exactly what they need versus accepting donations of clothes, etc.  This eliminates them from being additionally overwhelmed by having to sort through items and getting too much versus getting only what they need.

Thank you so much for your love for the Benfords!  They deserve it all and would be the first to jump in to help another family in this situation.
