This is Rebeccalyn Johan - "Bec" to everyone who knew her & mum to her 3 teenage boys Callob, Austin & Deacan. On Monday just 7 days before Mothers Day, Bec passed away unexpectedly. She was my age - 43.
I didn't know Bec really well but I knew her enough to see a few things;
Bec had a huge heart and loved her family above all else. She was incredibly proud and very close to her boys.
Bec was a fighter. She'd had a challenging life losing her dear mum to breast cancer and she battled chronic physical pain as well as depression.
Bec lived in Warwick Farm, South Western Sydney. Money was very tight and despite many obstacles Bec was determined to work to support her family and set an example for her boys. She loved creating and selling jewellery that made others smile and she wanted to operate her business to show her boys that "no matter what life puts in front of you, you can overcome it"
I'm so sad for Bec and I know the one thing she would be most concerned about now are her boys. We can't bring Bec back, but we can all join Pat, CAP, Lisa, Eva & Bec's community at Liverpool Neighbourhood Centre in trying to ease their financial stress just a little.
Please join me and give $5 or whatever you can spare to celebrate your mum this Mothers Day and to help Bec's boys
