This campaign is for Stephanie Mayfield, a single mother and cancer patient.
Anyone who has ever met or worked with Stephanie knows that she is an incredibly giving and kind person with a true passion for helping others and her community.
We know that Stephanie is incredibly strong and she will beat cancer.
For years, she has made it her business to improve the health and well-being of Stone County residents.
Stephanie has worked tirelessly with local schools and community organizations to educate and improve the health of our community as the Project Director for Mississippi Tobacco FREE Coalition for Stone County.
Right now, she needs us to return the favor.
This year has been tough for her. We don’t want her to have a mountain of medical bills to make it tougher.
She recently spent several days in the hospital where doctors treated her for complications and she recently began chemotherapy.
In addition to her cancer diagnosis, Stephanie’s home was damaged in Hurricane Zeta and she had to have an unrelated surgery on her ankle.
Stephanie’s path for treatment will require multiple rounds of chemo and possibly other treatments as she recovers, which are expensive.
The funds raised will go toward any and all medical expenses as she fights for her life.
