The YOU MATTER PROJECT is a campaign focusing on suicide awareness!
Do you know what is one of the biggest taboos in Asia? SUICIDE! It rocks Asia quietly and people are dying everyday.
Someone takes their life by suicide everyday and they didn't get a chance to hear these words, "YOU MATTER!"
In the last several years scores of students have jumped off buildings, Asian pop stars have taken their lives, lonely people have jumped off bridges, and communities formed to commit group suicides. Japan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, etc have been greatly affected by this problem and much of it is swept quietly away. But 3RD WAVE has decided to do something about it!
There are so many lonely people, depressed and struggling souls, and friends who feel hopeless. Each person needs to hear YOU MATTER!
We want to raise approximately $18,000 to make a 3RD WAVE's 4th music album.
This will help us to produce songs and gather top Asian artists from different countries to join and and make music together and to promote this cause. We would like to have a Taiwanese singer/group, Thai singer/group, Korean signer/group, and Hong Kong singer/group.
We've put together an impressive list of artists in the past like Alexander formerly of UKISS, Hye Rim Woo of the Wonder Girls, Siwon Choi of Super Junior, Brian Joo of Fly to the Sky, and Van Ness Wu formerly of F4. Some of them are going to be joing back on to help us. We are hoping to work with new artists and make new songs.
Leona Jang, composer and producer of EXID's #1 hit song 'Hot Pink' will be joining on to make a brand new song. Megan Lee of the Nickelodeon show 'Make It Pop' has joined on. We have cameo appearances by Kahi formerly of After School all to send an important message: YOU MATTER
This project chooses to inspire people in times of difficulties and reminds everyone there is hope beyond what we see.
