Through the rest of the summer, the pair are heading to NYC, Baltimore, DC, Philly, Richmond and all over the east coast before heading west to Denver and Albuquerque. All the while, they will be teaching, performing and very importantly, creating one of a kind silent films for Sammy Tramp's Traveling Flicker Factory (you can read more about that here: https://www.facebook.com/FlickerFactory )
Lola and Sammy are finishing up the summer and fall leg of their tour in New Zealand and Australia and have been working hard teaching and performing, but have been hard with New Zealand influenza and unexpected hiccups! They are continuing their fundraising goals and are offering even more incentives!***
They will also be spending as much time as possible researching their love of all things artistically historical and will be taking in as much as possible in the ways of museums, exhibits and monument;as well as looking into ways to build even more connections within the vaudeville, burlesque and circus community to continue to nourish their creativity for their biggest productions, including The Beggar's Carnivale, so that they may see it grow even larger and see it travel even further (see what that's all about by watching this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWa6JKd2g10 )
This Lady and Tramp are a dynamic duo of vaudevillian veracity and saucy savvy, but in order to make all of this work, they are looking for a little bit of help. Lola and Sammy will be performing and teaching, but in order to make films in each of the cities they hit, they will need some support. Gas is incredibly expensive (they'll be traveling in their tramp wagon, which will serve as home base for everything they do, including storing all their props and costumes), as are SD cards and additional video equipment to produce the best product possible. This trek won't be easy, but it will be exciting and hopefully, with your help, incredibly successful.
We have a goal of $2000 to help pay for travel and production expenses, but any money raised over that will go directly into the business by way of improving production value, equipment, and business expenses.
Lola and Sammy have been proud pioneers of the vaudeville movement in St. Louis and have enjoyed bringing the best talent they can find to the greatest audiences they've ever known. Show business is our life and a labor of love. Even when times are tough, we will trudge on, but your help will make all the difference in the world.
Thank you so much in advance!
