Help Adrian Bounce Back

Donation protected
So here's the situation. I'm Adrian. I am an actor/filmmaker/photographer/musician and I left New York broke last year to come home to Seattle with the sole purpose of saving money and moving to Los Angeles in the Spring. I did a lot of odd jobs, but spent the majority of time driving for Lyft to make money. I worked insane hours (usually 12-14 a day) and met some really interesting people. The last week before I left Seattle, I worked 80 hours as one last Hail Mary for my savings.
I've been extremely dedicated to saving up and getting back to the industry where I belong.

So, I finally had enough saved for some rent and food and packed up all my most important and essential things and began my drive southward a few days ago. I needed to stop in San Francisco to meet with a new agent I would potentially be working with so I stayed with a friend of a friend in the historic Mission District. I parked my car under a streetlight next to a church and covered everything in the back with blankets.

The next morning I woke up early and put on my one nice outfit I had taken from my car the night before and left to drive to my meeting. As I got to my car I realized what had happened in the 8 hours I was away from my car sleeping. Three windows were smashed. Broken glass was everywhere and just about everything I own was gone from my vehicle. All they left was my foam bed rolled up in the back, my desk and, miraculously, my tower computer that I built and use for all of my editing and writing work. I think they only left it because it was trapped beneath my desk and it's super heavy. They also left my pillow and blanket which was nice of them. Yet what they took was so much more important.

I'm very skeptical of these "fund me" services. I feel super weird asking people to help me, but when I posted about my terrible luck on Facebook, a few friends said that I should do this so they could throw a couple bucks my way. So here you go. I need to mention also that since I'm in between homes at the moment I don't have renters insurance and when I talked to my car insurance company, they said personal items weren't covered.

So, if you want to help me bounce back from losing everything of value I have, here's a bucket you can throw some change into, otherwise, please don't feel obligated. This is weird.

Oh I should also mention, if you want anything in return, I would love to take your portrait next time I see you. It's the least I can do. Anyway, I was very lucky I had my camera bag with me inside so I still have that, but below is a list of everything they took, with the most important things bulleted at the top.

* A completely filled dufflebag with ALL my clothes (except for the one nice outfit I was wearing that day)

* My Apple Cinema Display computer monitor I use for editing and accessing my computer

* My mouse and keyboard and cables to use my computer

* Multiple hard drives

* Two large, nice backpacks that I saved up for over a large chunk of time. One North Face and one Mission Workshop. Needed for travel.

* ALL my running gear including my team's shirts, my shorts, socks and shoes and night gear

* Three windows of my car ($500 total to fix)

* My passport and Social Security Card

* My glasses

Also stolen were these items that meant a lot to me, but are less crucial immediately.

-All my camping gear (Marmot tent, new sub-zero temp sleeping Bag, sleeping pad, camp stove and pot

-my guitar

-my Vitamix blender

-vitamins and protein and food

-all my kitchenware and cookbooks

-all my bathroom items, including towels

-my M-Audio studio speakers for editing and mixing

-Settlers of Catan! (They did leave Risk )

-my one chair

-a couple of sentimental t-shirts I've had since I was 8 years old. They still fit me and I'm sad they're gone.

So, I'm not here asking for people to replace these things, it's just a lot to lose at once and over $10,000 worth of things important to me. Very sad.

If you want to help me get some of this stuff back so I can make a living and start my life in California better than it's been going, please do. Thanks so much to everyone who's reached out. It means a lot. Thanks again. I'm so grateful for your kindness. --Adrian
