Hi everybody!
This little guy you see is our 18 month old Golden Retriever, Billy. As you can see, he's a stunner. He's a ball of energy but the best friend you could ask for.
On Tuesday, July 16th, Billy was alone when a fire started in our condo. He ran to hide on the other side of the bed but the smoke was too much for him. The fire fighters were spectacular and saved him from the blaze but as we type this, he's still in the emergency room at the animal hospital.
He is in rough shape and he has trouble breathing. He was put on assisted breathing after he was brought to the hospital. He won't be the same dog, because of all the respiratory issues.
As you would expect, the whole tragedy has been an overwhelming ordeal. We have very little options and are staying with family. The bills for Billy and what's not covered by insurance is significant.
We have never asked for a hand out but we need your help in our biggest time of need. If you can spare anything for us, big or small, we would be eternally grateful. The three of us just want our life back and you could make all the difference in the world.
This fundraiser will go directly to Billy's medical bills and anything that insurance doesn't cover. Any dollar over it, we will donate to the Toronto Humane Society. We don't know exactly how much is needed as the bills add up, but every cent after the last bill will be donated.
