3m N95 masks for Oakland ERs staff

the quick verson? I need about $8000 to get 3600 3m 8210 n95 masks to three Oakland ERs tomorrow. 

the long version? 

Annie Campbell Washington, Assistant Dean of the MPA program at the Goldman School of Public Policy at UCB and Oakland councilmember Lynette Gibson McElhaney and the Office of the Mayor of Oakland reached out to me today to see if I could donate some masks to Highland Hospital as they are dangerously running out of these essential masks. I've been piecemealing getting these masks to medical professionals over the past few weeks, but right now, working with these two Oaklanders  and through the executives and management folks they got me in contact with today, we will be getting 3600 (1200 each) of these masks to Highland Hospital, UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital, and Summit Alta Bates Hospital tomorrow, March 23, 2020. Hopefully, this helps them buy some time until some real material support comes through their supply chains. 

Those that know me know I usually would just fund something like this myself, like the 10,000 or so we donated over the last few years for Northern California Wildfire efforts, or the 10,000 or so we donated this year to fight this virus overseas initially, and now, domestically, but I am WAY past my yearly donation limits. I just can't do this myself.

I hardly every ask favors from anyone. and as much as I hate it,  I am asking for one now. 

I'm getting these masks on credit so I can immediately get these masks to these three ERs tomorrow. I'm asking you guys to donate what you can to fund this for me. If this comes up short, I'll cover the rest. If there's extra funds, I'll find more masks and if we can't, it will go to a local charity. 

heres the math. 3600 8210 3m n95 masks come in 20 count boxes, each box is $35.95 plus tax, thats 180 X $35.95=$6471 plus $550.04 tax, total $7021.04. I've never done a gofundme before but this looks like the fee schedule, 2.9% and $.30 for each transactions. if donations are about $5 each, this would end up with about $700 in fees.
