ETHAN WILLIAM BORN WITHOUT AN ANUS

Donation protected
On Friday, October 20, 2017 our spiritual son and daughter, Sammy Wanyonyi and his wife Dastine Alwanga Ambayi added to their family of four, after giving birth to their first son, Ethan William. His sisters Sandra, 16 years old and Genevive (JV) 12  are now big sisters. However, unbeknownst to the doctors, and thinking everything was okay with Ethan and his Mom, sent them both home the following morning. During the next couple of days Dastine noticed that Ethan had not passed stool and was very uncomfortable, crying excessively - - piercing cries and was inconsolable. Upon opening his buttocks wide she realized there was no anal opening. Ethan was released from the hospital without the doctors even realizing he was born without an anus. Upon my research I found out that this is known as an Ano-Rectal Malformation (ARM), which refers to an abnormality in the formation of the rectum or anus of a newborn. He was rushed the hospital for emergency surgery, where a Stoma was created, which is a bowel opening on the side of the abdomen for the passing of stool. At this point I will let Dastine continue the story in her own words.

Hello my name is Dastine. I praise the Lord for all He has brought me through. Last year on October 20th, the Lord blessed me with a baby boy, who I named Ethan William. I named him William because of the servants of God, Bishop William Hampton and Evangelist Willeasia (Lisa) Hampton, who helps us in our times of need. Ethan was born without an anal opening, and after three days the doctors performed colostomy on him for temporal passage of stool. Bishop and Mama Lisa paid the whole bill. I thank you God for Bishop and Mama Lisa. They came to Kenya in August of 2012 and stayed in our home with us. They stayed seven months, leaving in April of 2013. We love them with all our hearts. They have done so much for my family and me.
The second surgery was to be done on April 23, 2018, but due to lack of funds it was postponed until July and then again it had to be postponed to September 2018. On August 28th two additional tests were performed to prepare for the upcoming surgery. The surgery is to open the anus, and there will be a final surgery to close the temporal passage way in the stomach area. This surgery will be done once the anal area has healed. No date has been scheduled yet for the final surgery. I am humbly pleading with friends, family, and others to help us save Ethan’s life.
May the Lord bless you for your kind generosity, and your selfless contributions towards our son Ethan. Thank you and may God bless you all. Dastine Alwanga Amabyi

Ethan is now nine months old, and in desperate need of this surgery. Bishop Hampton and I, and the entire family of Ethan William are pleading for your support to help with his upcoming surgeries, and everything associated with his care, and the support of his family. If all goes well his hospital stay will be approximately two weeks. Dastine will be staying with Ethan during his entire hospital stay. The care to the daughters Sandra and JV will be in the hands of Dastine’s sister Isabella Oruko.
THEY NEED OUR PRAYERS
As much as they need your financial support, they desperately need your prayers. Please pray for Ethan as he goes through these surgeries. Pray for the doctors who will be performing this surgery and the final surgery, and that all goes well and there are no complications. Also pray that Ethan will have a speedy recovery and be able to pass stool normally  once the anus  heals. And please pray for his parents, and the entire family that God will give this strength, encouragement and peace.
FINAL WORDS
Sammy and Dastine, Bishop Hampton and myself, and the entire family want to thank you in advance from the bottom of our hearts for all your support and contributions. Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and may our Lord Jesus Christ bless you abundantly is our prayer.
