This is a serious plea for help for one of our brothers from Lambda Chi Alpha (Drexel) who has fallen on some very hard times - Jason Preston a.k.a. 'Slick".  Here is the deal... he has been looking for work for many, many months now with no luck and is within weeks of losing his home.  He has no where to turn and his back is up against the wall.  We have a plan in place to help him accelerate the job search but we need to get the bill collectors off his back ASAP in the next two weeks and buy him the time he needs to get back on his feet.  Jason is one of the most genuine, humble and hard working guys I know and has always been a great friend to all of us over the years - even if many years have passed since seeing each other.  He is a very talented web designer, marketer and technology pro, a proud father of two awesome kids and just had a bad set of circumstances all collide at once setting him back.. we can not let them lose their home.  Period.

Collectively, we know at least a few hundred guys from the years we spent together at 3401 and if even 100 of us chipped in $100 each we would quickly raise $10K - many of us blow that much on dinner or drinks and don't even think twice about it... I'm certain we can do even more.  In fact, I am willing to one time match the highest single donation up to $1,000.  I know he would do whatever he could, for any one of us, if the situation was reversed.  Please pause and reflect on this  knowing that whatever you decide will go directly to him via this tool.  Let's show our brother that he is not alone and what it means to be part of something special and deploy the reach and resources of our Chi network.  Even if a cash/financial gift isn't possible you can still help him in several different ways - networking on his behalf for a new job, offering to pass along his resume to your employer or recruiters you know, donating frequent flier miles he can use for a job interview out of state or even just dropping a line letting him know we got his back.  Maybe a certain cat whispering, golf pro we know might even be able to help us organize an early spring outing as a booster in the unlikely event we don't hit our goal!  Thanks in advance for your generosity, I spoke with him yesterday and I know he is thankful and blown away that anyone would even care...

We have all hit our low points - its scary, its depressing and it tests your faith and your will - yet so many of us have also been blessed with good fortune, health, family and more.  Let's blow the doors off this goal and get our brother Jason back on his feet!  Please share with your network of Drexel Alumni and LCA brothers, be discrete about it and I look forward to seeing us hit our modest goal and helping him get his life back.

Respectfully, Sincerely and yours in ZAX!
