Please Help Truman Our Corgi Walk Again!

On 7-1-2013 we were faced with a sudden emergency when Truman was not able to use his back legs. He was rushed to the emergency vet and seen by a neurologist. His MRI showed a severe herniated disk and compression in L1 and L2 and an infection in L3 and L4. He was immediately taken into surgery as if we waited he could have been paralyzed by the evening. Along with facing surgery and his rehabilitation we are also facing a $9500 vet bill which is a heavy burden for us especially at this time.
We are reaching out for your help and would never ask if we really did not need it. Truman is the heart and soul of our little family and when you meet him you feel like you have known him for years and that he is truly a special dog. We do not know what our lives would be like without him, especially his little beagle brother Barkley that depends on him with his separation anxiety. We rescued them both and not only are they a joy in our everyday lives but Truman and Barkley were also the first family we had after leaving our own families behind and moving out to California from the East Coast. We know that not everyone can help financially and if you cannot we ask that you please send this out to everyone you know and ask them to do the same.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of you and we appreciate any help that you can provide. We have already had $970 in donations and a private party has offered to cover his medication post-surgery. Every little bit helps our baby Truman!
