The Attard Family Support Fund

My name is Shannon. My family and I are asking for your help please, my husband Brian has been on hemodialysis for almost 4 years now and it has been quite a roller coaster ride I must say. He is currently on the waiting list for a decease kidney donation, but as some of you may know that can take several months, even years to find a match. We recently found out about the PKD program (paired Kidney Donation). Since I'm not a compatible match for Brian, the PKD program gives me the chance to not only help my husband, but to help another person who is dealing with having to live on dialysis. The Beaumont Transplant Team has medically cleared me to be a donor in the PKD program, the only problem is will have to be out of work for 8-12 weeks while both Brian and I recover. The Team, in our best interest, are worried about our financial well being, with the high cost medications and medical deductibles/co-pays. So, without the support from family and friends I will NOT be eligible to donate to help my husband and my family. God bless and thank you for taking the time to read this.
