Justice for Lucas

On Monday December 7, 2020 my 7 month old puppy was killed by my neighbors 4 vicious dogs. 

My neighbors 4 dogs are known to be very aggressive due to the negligence of their owners. They leave the dogs outside 24/7 in all types of weather conditions and have not socialized with the dogs. The dogs even get aggressive with eachother. On Monday morning the 4 dogs dug a hole under my brand new wooden fence and broke through it to get to my puppy and killed him.I watched them take his life away as I attempted to get them off of him by throwing rocks to distract him but the biggest dog started to get aggressive with me. I am 5 months pregnant and have a two year old who witnessed the entire thing with me as they dragged his lifeless body around my back yard there was not much I could do besides wait for madera PD to come and help get these dogs off of mine. I know his last thoughts were just him thinking “why isn’t anyone helping me, I’m scared.” There was no reason for this attack whatsoever. Our puppy was very much loved. My two year old is traumatized and misses her brother-so much she always asks for him and I have no idea what to tell her. The neighbors haven’t even offered apologies or attempted to talk to us whatsoever. 

We are asking for donations to file a lawsuit against my neighbor for my poor pups wrongful death. Anything anyone can donate helps so much! Madera PD is trying to brush this off as nothing and so is animal control for madera county.  Animal control has not even come to do an investigation on the brutal attack. The watch commander refuses to do anything about it. They have not removed the dogs from my neighbors house and I don’t feel safe in my own home anymore. My pup didn’t deserve his life to be taken so soon. Please share this as much as you can! Thank you everyone so much anything helps!
