Two months shy of three years remission and the Cancer comes back.
Lisa has helped many people and children through the years, she worked 20 plus years in child welfare and now she needs your help.
She is 54 years old, a mother of three beautiful daughters, a grandma of three wonderful grandchildren, a great grandma of two beautiful great granddaughters.
February 23, 2015 – Diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer
March 2015 – Lost her job, had double mastectomy, total hysterectomy, and her sister died of Stage 4 Breast Cancer.
May 2015 – Started Chemotherapy
September 2015 – Started Radiation
November 2015 – Declared in remission
Fast Forward
July 30, 2018 – Double vison, blurred vision, extremely low platelet count, and admitted to the hospital
August 1, 2018 – Metastasized breast cancer to the lining of the brain and in the bone marrow.
Currently she is taking chemotherapy by pill until her platelets are at a number where than can do surgery and insert the port in her head. With the cancer causing her to have blurry vision and double vision she unfortunately had to quit both her jobs and now is not able to be the provider for her family. When her platelets are high enough she will have to go through brain surgery so that they can insert the port in her head and be able to treat the cancer in the lining of the brain. With the cancer being in the lining of her brain she will not be able to do chemotherapy outside of the hospital, she will have to be admitted and it could last up to three weeks admission. WIll you consider helping our friend who has worked so tirelessly her entire life to fight for children who cannot help themselves?
