This is a support page for the Lowe family..Brandon Lowe needs us all to join together for God's healing power!...This page is for the support of Brandon Lowe and and his family. Brandon's life changed on June 10, 2012 when he was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma(bone cancer).just by wrestling and broke his bone. Didn't realize he had a tumor inside his bone in his arm and small mirco size tumors inside his lungs.
He has had 6 surgeries .. both lungs to remove tumors and he had a tumor removed from his left arm that left his arm partially disabled with a prosthetic bone from the elbow up to his shoulder socket. He has been getting all treatments in Atlanta, GA at Scottish Rites Children's Hospital and some surgeries at Emory Hospital. Unfortuantly the 7 chemos he has been given has not helped. We just received news that there is nothing more that Scottish Rite can give him to help him. We have been sent to Egleston Children's Hospital in Atlanta to do a new chemo study with a new type of chemo to try in hopes to help Brandon. He will be the 3rd patient to get this. In the meantime, We have been advised to go to MD Anderson Sarcoma Hospital in Houston, TX to seek further medical/surgical needs. Our transporation was to fly because a child with cancer can not ride for 13 hours travel time. But- due to the tumors in both lungs and air around his right lung we have no other choice but to drive now. Our doctors told us we will be here for 2 months while undergoing treatment before going home. Possibly longer.Hopefully in September, we will go home and come back every 21 days for chemo and other treatments. Stay 2 days and go home....repeat. And that could change as well. My goal as a mom is to get him well....as long as it takes. Our doctors are doing a referrel to get us there faster and hopes they can see Brandon and help him. Traveling is very expensive and our budget will just not allow us to do this alone.Brandon needs to seek further advanced treatment . He has more chemotherapy to do and multiple surgeries along with weeks of radiation coming up to remove the tumors from his lungs and in his back that keep re-occurring. He has been fighting this disease for a year now and its getting very expensive and we are needing some help. Please take the time to give and help our Brandon and family on medical/travel needs. He is a child fighting everyday for survival.
