RV Housing for GiGi and Me

Hi Friends
Although GiGi and I have had to struggle these last two years: lost work, lost income, lost housing (all due to a crazy ex-roomate), we are still determined to make lemonade from the lemons!
We are looking for an RV so we can have our own housing/home base, and I can get on with looking for a job, writing for Coastal Canine, finding more petsitting, writing "GiGi's Guide to Dog-Friendly Santa Cruz", and promoting Simpawtico Animal Hospice.
My own dear GiGi turns out to be my first hospice dog. GiGi has Degenerative Myelopathy, a condition with no cure. It does not hurt her, but at this point, her back legs do not work at all and I usually carry her back end in a sling. In spite of this, she is still her frisky, happy, joyful self... she just adjusts to her body being different and goes on as always. We were able to find a doggie wheelchair for free! She does have major separation anxiety (who wouldn't in her circumstance?), so she goes everywhere with me. Thanks to lots of love, supplements and healthy food, the progression of DM has been slow.
We have been staying with friends and house/pet sitting for the last two years (thank you for your generosity!) As of mid-July we will need a new place to stay and we are hoping hard for a place of our own to call home.
An RV would give us a place to live until I have a job (i've applied for 400 and only had 2 interviews) or can get more pet care gigs and can afford to pay rent.
The low end for an RV is around $2,000 for something that is old but runs and is registered. If we end up living in our tiny car, Gigi's condition will go downhill fast. I love Gigi-- she has been my best friend for almost 10 years and I really want to be able to make GiGi's remaining time as good as possible
