3D Printing Face Shield's for Critical Workers

Due to the Covid-19(Corona) Virus there is a lack of PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) for front line staff at Hospitals, GP's,  Community Nurses, and Emergency Response staff etc

Currently the 3D printing community has banded together in places to create very basic but wearable protection for frontline staff, that will hopefully help to small degree.

I've recently joined one of those groups setup by Kris West and together we are getting in touch with those who need them to arrange delivery & collections. Already we have had collections and been put to use!

So I've started this GoFundMe to try raise funds for buying more materials to keep making these face shields, If we can raise enough then perhaps  buy another printer to produce more masks's quicker or alternative ones to suit different services as some designs accommodate other PPE better but take 3 times as long to make.

Currently its £16.99  for each reel of 1kg plastic to make around 65 headbands and £10 for 100 acetate shields to work as a basic . 

Each shield printed is then sealed up in a Vacuum sealed bag or possibly food bag, currently pricing and sourcing these.

So around the 50p per face shield including electric and materials hopefully?.

Currently I can only create for nearby area of Wrexham  County but hopefully  as more people lend a hand on Kris Wests FaceBook group - North Wales Covid Face Shield we can spread the PPE to more places in North Wales.
