Wounded Warrior needs surgery!

Hi everyone, my name is Sara and 4 years ago, my life changed drastically. I met the love of my life Mitchell in a war zone. My husband, who was a recon sniper and myself who was one of his medics had a pretty long deployment, especailly after him getting blown up by multiple road side bombs. He was deployed prior to this last tour in Baghdad (Sadr City) where he was blown up by an 800 lb road side bomb. With all the times he almost lost his life, he thought he was out of the clear when we came home from our last tour in the summer of 2011. We got married, and haave been happily ever after ever since.
In February 2013 everything changed though! He suffered a massive 2 minute long grand mal seizure out of no where! When the Army hospital dismissed it saying "everyone is allowed one free seizure". A few weeks later my husband began hallucinating and becoming completely incoherent for hours at time. After 2 days of this we brought him back to the Army hospital where they finally diagnosed him. The halluncations were partial complex seizures caused by his severe TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury), TBI induced eplilepsy, and he was also diagnosed with "minor" multiple fractures in his spine from the his muscles spasming during the seizure. It was a lot to take in. 2 months later he had another major seizure which caused 3 strokes and a heart attack. I found him dead in our living room and had to do CPR on him to bring him back. He was comatose for 2 days and the Army doctors politely told me to "call a funeral home" (I am sarcastic about the politely part, and sadly those are their exact words). When he came to the Army doctors finally were able to get him on the right medications to stop the seizures and for the last year and half he has only had 3 seizures!!!
Well here's the bad part. Since the seizures and us going more in depth about his back and his injuries we found out a lot more was wrong than "a couple of minor compression fracutres". My husband has 4 (now calcified over) fractured vertebrate, degenerating disks throughout his whole spine, multiple slipped or buldging disks, and 2 torn disks. After the Army hospitals almost killing my husband we obviously didn't want them to do anything else to him. When we both got out of the Army we moved from our home in Hawaii to Georgia for 2 reaons. 1 was for me to attend a Physician Assistant program here, in the mainland. 2 was for my husband Mitchell to get treated by the best spine surgeons in the world at Emory Spine and Orhtopedic Center in Atlanta. He is going to need at least 3 surgeries to fix his back. They will not do pro bono and of course military insurance won't cover the full thing. So please help us. Help my husband get off his cane and be able to move around again! We used to be outdoors 24/7 hiking, running, working on our cars, surfing, snorkleing, and diving. Now he can barely get off the couch or out of bed. Any help is aprreciated!

Thank you so much!
Gob Bless!

p.s. the reason were are asking for $15,000 is because we aren't sure exactly how much will be covered by insurance and we had to drain our savings last year from all the bills from the multiple ambulance and emergencied at other non military hospitals.
