Help Me Go to Seminary
Donation protected
I need help. In May I was accepted as a seminary student into Gordon-Conwell's Master of Divinity program for this fall. I was thrilled! However, I can't afford to go. I believe in the call God has put on my life and I believe He has called me to pursue training for that call. My desire is to follow and serve Him. One of the hardest things I have to do right now is ask for help in order to do that. However, by taking this step of asking I am inviting you to share in the adventure and joy of what God is doing in my life.
Yearly tuition at GCTS is $17,610. Even with the $5,000 scholarship and $1,200 I received in donations as I was applying, it isn't enough. To be as transparent as possible, my scholarship commits me as a full-time student and will disburse as $2,500 off of each the fall and spring semesters, leaving a balance of $6,305 a semester.
Of the $1,200 I have already been given in donation, $400 was used for application and acceptance fees. This leaves an immediate tuition need for the fall of $5,505 and a total need of $11,810. I do work part time and plan to continue doing so but that income goes directly toward my living expenses.
I really wish I could say this was a loan, but I can't. This feels like so much to ask for:I feel greedy in asking for your prayers as well, but I do:Know you have my gratitude, know that you are helping me in larger ways than the surface reveals. I truly appreciate whatever you are able to contribute.
Thank you!
