ANUAMADI FAMILY US Citizenship Fund

Donation protected

For those of you that know me, you know that my family moved to the United States about 10 years ago from Nigeria. We have been living and working here since then.  My parents brought the family to America to provide us all the opportunity to improve our lives. We are all working hard to make that happen.  Our permanent residency cards will expire next year. My mother and father and I would love to become US citizens before then.   If my parents become citizens, my two younger brothers and my younger sister will also become citizens. It will cost $2,900 for my family to obtain citizenship. We have been trying to save the money to start the process.  Unfortunately, my dad hurt his knee last winter and was out of work for several months and all our savings were used up, so we are asking for your help in any way possible.    Let me tell you a little bit about my family. In Nigeria, my father, Obianyo, worked as a government official and my mother Chinyere worked as a nurse and they also owned a small farm.  When we came to the United States and settled in West Orange, New Jersey, we all worked very hard to learn English. My parents now work as health aides, and I work as a maintenance worker at C.T.C, a school for children with special needs in Denville, NJ.  I'm also working as a security officer on weekends. My sister Chiniza  serves in the US  Marine Core and is stationed in California, my other sister Chinelo is about to join the US Army. My younger brother, Ebizie, is a junior at  West Orange High school and is on the track team. This year he was named the team's MVP. He hopes to go to college and perhaps some day represent the US in the Olympics. My brother Ernest is in 8th grade.  He's been in West Orange's junior police academy for the past few summers, and he hopes to become a police officer one day. My youngest sister Gloria is in 6th grade. She sings and plays the flute. Ernest, Ebizie, Gloria and I are acolytes at Holy Trinity Church, and we volunteer in the soup kitchen.  We strongly believe in contributing to our community. If you can find it in your heart to  support us it would mean a lot to me and my family. Thank you very much in advance.
