39 Mile Walk for Breast Cancer

Yes, I have (had, hopefully) stage 3c breast cancer, and I had a mammogram and ultrasound only one month before I found the 5 inch tumor. How is this possible? Lobular cancer grows like a spider web, not a lump, so you can't feel it or see it in dense breast tissue until it is really big.

So, after having gone through a double mastectomy with reconstruction, 16 weeks of chemo, and 28 radiation treatments (finished December 2014), I'm continuing my fight against breast cancer by walking 39 miles in NYC on October 17 and 18, 2015.

Now I'm fighting for you!
