Adam's Medical Fund

At approximately 2 a.m. on Monday, June 26, our son, Adam, was assaulted in South Lake Tahoe, CA, and life flighted to the Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, NV where he currently remains. He suffered an extensive brain injury and is currently in a coma. He has responded to painful stimuli; however, his right leg has made no movement up to this time. We are remaining optimistic about his recovery, but know we have a very long road ahead. Adam has been staying in Carson City, NV, on a work assignment since May 21st and was set to return home to Spring Grove, PA, June 30, as the contract had just finished up.Adam earned his Bachelor degree from Pennsylvania College of Technology in Welding & Metal Fabrication Engineering and is currently employed by a defense contractor in York, PA, as a QC Engineer.He is an outgoing individual and always has a way of uplifting those around him. His silly sense of humor and big heart have won him many friendships across the country. Born in a time when most of us have lost that "Good Samaritan" mind set, he would be the first person to pull over if he found a stranger looking as though they may need assistance alongside the road, known to assist stray dogs, and is compelled to say 'bless you' to anything that sneezes. There are too few truly kind hearted 23 year old souls in this world- and this one needs our support.This tragedy has forced the family members to travel from their home states of Georgia and Pennsylvania to be by his side, patiently tend to his care, and be there to take only the first steps of what will likely be a long journey. Without knowing what lies ahead, we are asking for any kind of donation no matter the amount -- be it financial or positive energy, thoughts, and prayers to help the family stay together to support our son.
