Help Us Fund the 2024 Meet the Heroes Event

Donation protected
Meet the Heroes is a free annual interactive Black History Festival with the goal to share the stories and accomplishments of African Americans through crafts and activities that engage the minds, bodies, and hearts of the parents and children of the Triangle. In 2023 we relaunched and had over 240 people in attendance which was 90 more than we anticipated for the event. We currently fund Meet the Heroes through savings and a few donations to keep the festival running. We rely on friends and family volunteers to staff and provide support for all the attendees.
This year we are asking for donations to keep it free to the public and to continue to inspire youth to learn and be proud of the accomplishments of Black men and women throughout history. Any donation will go towards booking a venue of appropriate size, purchasing a bounce house and ensuring that there are enough crafts for all attendees.
