Halle was told a year ago that she may never dance again after being diagnosed with scoliosis, spondilylosis, and spondilylithesis. These are three different conditions that curve her spine at 35%, have left two complete fractures at the base of her spine, and a collapsed vertebra. Not only is she dancing but she won a full tuition scholarship to Joffrey Ballet School in New York city this summer. Although the tuition is paid she needs about $5000 for room, board, and meals, plus pointe shoes, leotards, and uniform, as these all have to be Joffrey brand. This is an amazing honor and experience but as a single mom I am struggling to have Halle follow her dreams so I am asking for help. Halle is a high honor student that dances 25 plus hours a week sometimes staying up to one o'clock studying. She never complains about being in pain but I know when she is, sometimes she has to pop her hip into place before she can move. Nothing stops her dancing though and this experience will teach her so much about dance and herself, altogether making her a stronger and even better person than she already is..
