Ra-Keema's ACL Surgery Fund
Donation protected
Hello and thank you for taking the time out of your day to read my plea for help. My dog Ra-Keema has managed to detach her ACL and requires surgery. It's disconnected from the top portion of her leg and basically floating around near the bottom of her leg. This surgery is needed ASAP, as the longer she uses it, the more damage she can cause to her leg muscles, or damaging her other leg for overcompensating. As a tough, stubborn and playful Pitbull/Heeler/Dingo mix, it's very hard to get her to stay still, or off the leg, as she always wants to play and run and be with people. She is 8 years old and been in perfect health her entire life other than this, and has many good years left in her. I found a great Surgeon who gave me an amazing price compared to others and comes highly
recommended. However, as I am disabled and only working part time, I have very little income, and even at a great price, it is an amount I cannot possibly afford on my own. The total for everything (surgery, drugs, rehab, check ups, the whole package) is $1950.00.
Any additional money gained will go only to items the dog needs. Food, toys, additional vet bills, etc.
I am not one who likes to ask for help, but I am left with no other choice, and I love this dog too much to see her in pain like this. If you understand this feeling, or have been there yourself, love dogs, or just looking for a good cause and can afford it without any undue hardship to yourself, I kindly request a donation to the "Save RaKeemas Leg" Fund. No amount is too small, and every bit helps.
Thank you again for reading this, I appreciate your time and assistance.
