Hayden

Hayden along with his sister Riley were both born with a rare birth defect called Cleidocranial Dysplasia (ccd) it’s a condition that primarily affects development of the bones and teeth. Dental abnormalities are common in Cleidocranial Dysplasia and can include delayed loss of the primary (baby) teeth, delayed appearance of the secondary (adult) teeth and development of extra teeth. 
  At the age of 8 Hayden had his first surgery which involved the removal of 7 primary (baby) teeth. We were fortunate that 2 of his central incisors came in on their own. Unfortunately, he has 10 extra teeth that are caused to be road blocking his (adult) teeth from coming in. Because of his condition those extra teeth need to be extracted and each permanent tooth is surgically exposed and pulled into the mouth with orthodontics. Unfortunately, medical insurance considers these procedures as cosmetic and will not cover. This is not cosmetic and is medically necessary.  We were informed on March 12th the cost of surgery and treatment is well over 8,000. We hope too have surgery and start orthodontic treatment this June. 
  Hayden is an amazing kid with a huge heart ❤️ He has embraced having CCD and loves talking about it with others. He loves his smile and is never afraid to show it.
