As many of you know, Nick and Emi have had a rough start to parenthood. I don't think any of us could imagine what it would be like to be in their shoes. They have been blessed with thousands of prayers and still many are wanting to do more.
Their Story:
On November 15th, Nick & Emi were blessed with the early arrival of beautiful twin girls, Tenley and Avery. They were born almost 2 months early, which is extremely scary for two new parents. They remained in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) for 8 weeks with both girls.
On Friday, January 12th, they were released from the hospital to finally head home, but this feeling of happiness quickly faded as Avery contracted RSV (respiratory syncytial virus). She was air lifted back to Minneapolis from Mankato on Sunday, January 14th around 2 a.m. Tenley followed suit 2 days later and was transferred from Mankato via ambulance.
Both girls are in the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital. They have been intebated and remain on ventilators to give them the supportive care their tiny bodies need.
We are starting this Go Fund Me page to help out with the extra expenses that are continuing to grow.
A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. This organization has been an amazing help to them and we would like to do something to show our gratitude and help other families in similar situations.
Nick and Emi continue to wait for Tenley and Avery's health to improve.
