Medical Expense: Natalie's Brain Surgery
Donation protected
Starting in Feburary of this year Natalie was suffering from a lingering headache that lasted 2 months. After unsuccessfully trying different treatments and medication, her doctor decided to do further testing, that is when they found the AVM (Arterial Vascular Malformation). An AVM is a tangled mass of arteries and veins that are connected directly to each other which doesn't allow normal blood flow through the brain. The danger of an AVM is the rupturing of a vein which could lead to seizure and/or stroke. After considering all options Natalie has decided that micro-surgical resection, which is surgery to completely remove the AVM, is the best option for her. The surgery date has been set for July 11th. She will spend the first week in the hospital and the expected recovery time is 6 to 8 weeks. We greatly appreciate any donations during this difficult time. Thank you for your support.
