Jackson's Journey with Cancer

With a mother's humble heart I ask for your help as our 5 year old son, Jackson was diagnosed last Spring with a malignant brain tumor. Jax has since endured 3 brain operations, surgeries to place a g-tube for nutritional feelings and to implant a mediport used to administer medical treatments. Jackson underwent 6 weeks of radiation at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and is currently undergoing 48 weeks of chemotherapy at the Children's Hospital of Buffalo. Jax has PT, OT, Speech, and tutoring sessions throughout the week along with regular home-nursing visits. I've had to take a leave of absence from my teaching position of 13 years at Pembroke Intermediate School in order to be Jackson's caregiver 24/7. Without my income, finances are excruciatingly tight as we continue on through this journey with Jackson. Nearly as hard as watching our child battle cancer, is to ask others for help.
