Bea's Birthday Wish

Birthdays should be special, for everyone:

That's why this year, as I celebrate my 30^th Birthday, I have made a pledge to help at-risk children in our community. In lieu of birthday gifts on my special day, I have decided to raise funds, and hopefully awareness, of the wonderful preventative work through the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program.

You see, throughout my life I have been extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet so many amazing and wonderful people. Of those relationships, some have blossomed into close personal friendships, caring and selfless individuals that I can share with and celebrate many of life's unique moments. As a result of these wonderful friendships, I have had the most memorable birthday parties filled with laughter, joy, amazing and stylish outfits (if I do say so myself:), great music and incredible dancing.



I have been matched to my Little Sister Arizona through the Big Brothers Big Sisters community based mentoring program for just over a year now and she is amazing. During the past year we have learned so many things about each other by spending time together. Her favorite colors are yellow and black, her favorite school subject is science, and her favorite food is pizza. She loves to write in her journal, make drawings in her sketchbook and go to the park to play basketball.



So this is where you can help. I have set a goal of $5,000 so that other children, just like Arizona, may also be matched to a caring, positive adult role model. I ask that you please consider making a contribution of $25, however please know that your gift at any level is sincerely appreciated.
