3 Peaks Challenge for Lydia

Donation protected
We are a group of 14 who are coming together as a team (#teamlydia) and climbing the highest 3 peaks across the UK.

We are raising money for Lydia Galbally, who in September 2018 fell ill with Sepsis.  She survived but with life changing consequences.  She has lost both legs below the knee and her right hand at the wrist and the majority of the fingers on the left hand.  We want to help Lydia rebuild her life by helping her afford the best prosthetics and access to the best multi-disciplinary teams.

The Three Peaks Challenge is one of the most popular trekking challenges in the UK and involves climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales (Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon), one after another – with an aim to complete the challenge within 24 hours.

We are doing this on Saturday 28th September 2019.  We aim to start the Ben Nevis climb at 12 noon.  This will be exactly a year to the day that Lydia was admitted to her local A&E and placed on life support.

You can read Lydia's full story on the gofundme page her family set up back in May.  Here is the link:

The family has a total target of £250,000 and our 3 Peaks team is helping them reach this.  Once we have finished our fundraising, we will transfer this money to the main campaign.

Thanks for the support.
