Zar's Training/Competition fund
Donation protected
About Zar and my plans for him: Zar is a 9 year old chestnut Dutch Warmblood gelding who was bred in the USA at Cornell University's Equine Park. I purchased him as a weanling, and have been developing him slowly and carefully up the levels. He is now schooling everything at the Grand Prix Level but will continue to compete in the Small Tour (Prix St George's and Intermediare I) this season. I would like to take him to The Festival Of Champions, which is held in Kentucky this year (he is currently ranked 9th, 15 horses are invited to compete). I would also like to take him to Florida when I take Warsteiner to train with Lars Petersen, early in 2014. The Carol Lavell Advanced Dressage Prize will cover the costs of Warsteiner, but not those of Zar. I believe that Zar has what it takes to become a top International Level horse, and it would benefit us greatly to have the Florida experience, both for training and competing.
The estimated costs for 2 more qualifying Competitions, The Festival of Champions, and the Florida month of training is $11,000. Any donations are greatly appreciated and will help me continue developing this super horse. Depending on how the next year goes, he will either move up to the Grand Prix or try out for the Pan-American games in 2015.
