I am helping coordinate a trip down to Honduras with Witness for Peace. This fundraising page is to support potential attendees with partial or full scholarships.
This Honduras delegation i will examine the role community radio plays in social movements across Honduras. We will meet with partners leading human rights advocacy work and examine the power of radio to communicate and build social movements.
While local radio stations play a critical role in raising awareness of issues within their communities; we build global power by sharing information across communities worldwide.
The trip will be seeking to create individual and group projects with a focus on how to share content in the US through radio and podcasts; laying the groundwork for potential ongoing information and content sharing.
Please support us in raising $5,000 by September 20. All proceeds go directly to scholarships for folks to attend this opportunity
