Torres Family Fund

Friends and family,
My name is Carlos Montilla and I humbly deliver this message.
On Saturday, May 14, Tragedy struck South Florida in a way that truly shook our community to the core. My best friend Narciso Torres lost his his life that day while piloting a Cessna 172 on a sightseeing flight with two family members. After suffering an engine loss, Narciso attempted an emergency landing on the Haulover bridge. While the family members onboard sustained serious injuries, Narciso unfortunately lost his life. He tragically passed away doing what he loved. Undoubtedly, his aviation experience and expert pilotage helped save the lives of his loved ones onboard as well as any bystanders on the ground.
Narciso was a loving husband and amazing father to three school aged children. Professionally, he was a veteran Air Traffic Controller and the NATCA Union President for the Miami Air Traffic Control Tower and Tracon. From a young age, Narciso's life has been centered around his love for aviation and flying. His passion for helping and representing others in times of need is what defined him as a true leader.
Since the tragedy, many people have reached out, asking how they can help. I’ve decided this fundraiser would be the best and most direct way to assist the family with the critical resources they need during this difficult time. His beloved wife Jennifer and their children will be the sole recipients of these funds.
