Marty's Bone Marrow Fund
Donation protected
On December 31st, 2012, Marty went into the hospital with extreme back pain. That was when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). He was sent to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA) and started Chemotherapy treatments right away at the UW Hospital. Unfortunately, the Chemotherapy won't be enough to kill the ALL. He will also have to undergo a Bone Marrow Transplant once the Chemo has been completed.
A major part of the recovery period from the transplant requires Marty to rebuild his bone marrow in a sterile environment. This process takes on average 100 days. The SCCA has a few housing options but the cost will be around $100 a day. His insurance will only reimburse him $50 a day for the housing.
We have created this Go Fund Me site to help collect donation to support Marty and his wife through this tough time in his life. Any donation is helpful, and will be greatly appreciated by the family in Marty's time of need.
