Ava’s Recovery

On March 1, 2019, Ava Campbell, a 5-year-old girl from Waco, Texas, was exiting her school bus on a typical Friday afternoon. Seconds after Ava exited the bus, she was run over by the back tires of the bus. Unfortunately, the driver continued on to her next stop without noticing that she had run over this child.  A bystander called 911 and Ava was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, where she was placed in the ICU in critical condition. Ava was intubated, with her injuries ranging from a crushed diaphragm, lacerated liver, and broken femur to numerous broken bones. She has since required multiple surgeries.

Ava’s family is in need of assistance to help cover some of the expenses that continue to rise while she remains in the hospital, including transportation costs, time taken off of work to be by her side, and coordination of care for her siblings.  Please consider donating to her family during this critical and challenging time!
