So here we have a guy that Loves his family, The Patriots, AND especially his job! Joel has been working for the same cluster of stations in Worcester, MA. for almost 40 years as the production manager.
He has a huge heart and an incredible creative side. Makes people laugh every chance he gets, and loves his snacks!
This man, who would never ask himself, needs our help. In January of this year, Joel went to the ER with severe back pain and a complete lack of energy. The doctors weren't able to come up with a focused diagnosis at first, until they discovered an adrenal gland had ruptured... that's when they discovered the tumor... and only during a craniotomy...
Joel has a form of small cell lung cancer that has spread to his to his brain.
Over the course of the last four months, he has undergone many treatments and procedures to get him on the mend, and through some roller-coaster ride style of accomplishments and failures, he has managed to keep his sense of humor.
Well, because of crappy insurance, and the fact that he can’t work during his treatments, he and his family are struggling to stay above water. The bills are piling up, and now they need to rent a temporary ramp for the house along with some other medical equipment.
