Missions trip to Madagascar/South Africa

Dear family and friends,
I have just recently been offered the once-in-a-lifetime chance of traveling on a twenty-three day missions trip to Madagascar and Zambia, South Africa this summer with Fr. Jack Lonbardi of St. Peter in Hancock MD, and I'm writing to you today to implore you to sponsor me. The total cost of this pilgrimage is an intimidating, approximate $4,100, $3100 of which is due May 24th, 2013, to pay for air-line tickets, visas, and associated country fees.
The purpose of the mission trip is to encounter Jesus in His disguises through service to the poor, the orphaned, the sick, and the needy in village orphanages, hospitals, healthcare facilities, and outreach centers. In these countries, the hard-working eke out a living by farming or herding, and the life expectancy is 53-58 years, old. More than 40% are Christian, 7% are Muslims, and the rest worship ancestors and spirits according to their traditional African beliefs. It is my group's hope to bring the love of God to all we encounter.
