Road to Rio! The Parent's Journey

Hi! We are Chuck and Stacey Brown.  Parents to two amazing daughters, Mackenzie and Rilie.  Mackenzie is on track to make the 2016 Olympic team in the sport of Archery.  Mackenzie started shooting when she was 10 years old. She went to her first tournament and was hooked!! She's been shooting ever since. At the age of 16, she left home to move to the Olympic training center in California and has lived there ever since.  

Last summer, Chuck was laid off from his job in the oil industry.  He was without work for several months which was very hard for our family financially.  He has since found a job with an amazing local company.  However, we just simply don't have enough extra money to fund such a long trip.  

Any money we are blessed with will be used to cover airfare, hotel accomodations and food while in Rio for 10 days, the length of the archery competition.  The prices of everything are nearly tripled during the Olympic games. 

Our goal as parents has always been to first point our girls to their Heavenly Father in everything.  Next is to help and encourage them to make the best use of the talents and gifts God has blessed them with.  Mackenzie has absolutely done that in a way that has blown our minds!!!  

As you can imagine, our dream is to see our daughter fulfill her dream of competing on the largest stage IN THE WORLD!!

Words cannot express just how grateful we are for the opportunity to have you share in our journey.  I know that there are lots of people and causes to support, but I thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing us to help.
