My name is Tatiana Smith. I am currently a Junior Accounting Major at Clark Atlanta University, from Hillside, New Jersey. I have been selected as an official contestant for the Miss United Negro College Fund Scholarship Pageant. The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) has served as the nation's largest and most effective minority education organization since 1944.
As an active member of Clark Atlanta University's student body, my affiliations include the National Association of Black Accountants, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, Pre Alumni Council and the CAU cheerleading team. I am compelled to further represent my university in the capacity of Miss UNCF.
Holding the title of Miss UNCF would give me the platform to enthuse others to aim for academic excellence, stimulate a desire to render service, and promote leadership throughout the university. I would also use the title as a utensil to influence the masses. If crowned, I will be granted a scholarship towards my education, as well as gaining eligibility to compete for the National Miss UNCF title.
