I work at Violetville Elementary Middle School. We are set to go back to school in less than a month. Last night 3 people broke into the school and set off the sprinklers and sprayed fire estinquishers all over. The physical school will be repaired but many teachers lost their personal supplies that they have gathered over the years.
We are trying to raise funds to repair and replace the items that th insurance doesn't cover, especially teachers personal supplies. The money will be used to replace office supplies, classroom materials, furniture, and technology that was damaged.
We need these funds as soon as possible because the beginning of the school year is just around the corner. As teachers, we do everything we can to make school a welcoming and wonderful place to learn. My heart broke when I saw the pictures. I am sad for myself, my co-workers and especially th children.
With your help, we will be able to rebuild and start our year out right.
