Debbie's Medical Expense Fund

Hey all! As many of you know our friend Debbie has had multiple health issues over the last couple of years. Last year she had to quit work because she couldn't tolerate sitting for any length of time and other complications. The list of issues is long and she has been to MANY doctors and specialists. She had disability for awhile but then that ran out in February. Most recently she had a life threatening medical event. She was in extreme pain and her family called an ambulance which took her to Buffalo Hospital. They said this was more than they could handle and so did Mercy. She was transported to North Memorial where two surgical teams were waiting for her. She had surgery but her abdomen filled with 23 pounds of fluid. The doctors think it was an aneurysm that burst. She is lucky to still be with us. Last week she was at Mayo trying to figure this out. She still has blood in her abdomen and she will be going back to Mayo to have that drained next week.
Update is that procedure didn't work. The fluid in her abdomen is pushing on her organs so she isn't eating much.  She is weak from all of this and in her condition they did not want to put a drainage tube in because of the high risk of infection.  She is scheduled to go back on October 17th when they will try another procedure to get the fluids out of her abdomen. The last resort is that they would do surgery and open her up and suction out the fluid. Hopefully it won't come to that.
Her second appeal for social security benefits was denied. The medical bills are mounting, her car was totaled so they only have one at this time,  and she isn't able to work.  The family has been under a huge amount of stress and the financial load adds to it.
It would mean so much to me to be able to help them lessen the burden.  Thank you so much! Peace to all!
